Sliding Apparatus Stuttgart
A number of requirements have been set as a standard by various sports federations. One of the requirements for different types of indoor sports is the sliding properties. Deltec developed the Sliding Apparatus Stuttgart in order to test the properties as described by the DIN standard. The sliding properties are determined by the sliding coefficient. Essentially a vertical guided axle in a framework is connected to a testing foot with a torque sensor. By a free hanging weight, the loaded axle is stressed with a constant torque. The testing foot sole contacts and slides the surface and the torque is measured.
