Artificial Weathering
Sports federations such as FIFA have set-up regulations for Artificial Weathering. Over time, materials, including artificial turf and other sports floorings, have a tendency to change colour when exposed to environmental conditions. Artificial Weathering devices such as the Atlas® UVTest™are available to simulate these environmental conditions and test materials for their reaction to light, temperature and moisture in an accelerated period of time.
UVTest Fluorescent/UV Instrument
FIFA endorses use of Atlas’ UVTest as its innovative design features provide an economical means for testing reproducibility with lower operating costs compared to competitive fluorescent UV devices. The UVTest offers easy to use features such as simple touch screen operation and control, pre-programmed and custom tests for error free operation and advanced calibration technology.

Xenon Arc Instruments
In addition to the UVTest, Atlas offers the SUNTEST® family of flatbed xenon instruments. These state-of-the-art xenon exposure systems test the long-term effects that light, heat and moisture will have on products in their end-use environment.
SUNTEST XLS+
With 1100 cm² of exposure area, the SUNTEST XLS+ is the perfect size for labs with limited available space or lower capacity testing needs. The XLS+ has a flat exposure area that fits both flat and 3D samples. The multilingual touch screen makes it an easy to use multi-purpose instrument. The XLS+ can be equipped with different accessories to fulfil your various testing needs. Accessories include SunSpray and SunFlood to spray or immerse the samples and SunCool to reduce the sample temperature for photostability testing of drugs and thermo sensitive materials.
SUNTEST XXL/XXL+
The 3081 cm2 specimen tray is perfect for high volume testing and testing of large components and three dimensional parts. Standard sample holders for flat samples guarantee maximum throughput. The exposure area has a slope of 5° to most accurately simulate outdoor testing and water run off from sample surfaces. Both, the XXL and XXL+ come with our easy-to-use color touch screen.
