Grontmij tests sub-base during installation

A high quality artificial turf football pitch starts with a proper sub-base. The sub-base quality is expressed in bearing capacity, compaction or density. The Dutch installer and consultant Grontmij recently invested in a Sub Base Compaction Tester. It is important to monitor the sub-base quality during installation. Restoring the sub-base after the synthetic turf application involves very high costs. By using the Sub-Base Compaction Tester, the percentage of rejection can be reduced significantly. By doing this Grontmij not only save costs for re-testing, but - maybe even more important – they save a lot of time and hassle which contributes to a fast and successful project execution.
