Sub-base compaction tester for bearing capacity

A high quality artificial turf football pitch starts with a proper sub-base. For this purpose Deltec developed the Sub-Base Compaction Tester. The tester consists of a prescribed drop weight which is being released from a certain height. The mechanical version measures the vertical indentation in millimeters, the electronical version measures also the deceleration in g. By using the Sub-Base Compaction Tester, the percentage of rejection can be reduced significantly.
