5A and HIC Impact Tester for Sekisui Alveo

Sekisui Alveo produces the Sekisui Sports Layer which is being used as technical base layer for several artificial turf systems. The Sekisui Sports Layer is based on crosslinked polyolefin foam with a closed cell structure. Recently, Sekisui Alveo purchased a 5A Impact Tester. Klim Geraedts, Application Development Manager, explains that the flexible application possibilities were of great importance to Sekisui Alveo. “The uncertainty around the definite introduction of the Triple-A, let us decide for a device which is able to measure according to the regular Artificial Athlete method as well as the expected Triple-A method. This enables us to supply our customers with the right service, to further develop our products and to monitor product performance over a period of time. The decisive factors for choosing Deltec were knowledge, adequate service and solidity of the test equipment”. Furthermore Sekisui Alveo purchased a HIC Impact Tester for product developments in the area of artificial turf applications for American Football and for playground surfaces. “The possibility to combine electronics for both test devices caused a substantial investment savings” according to Klim Geraedts.
